Congratulations to Yumi Dille for receiving the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award at BE-STEMM 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Yumi Dille, PhD student in Human Genetics programsupervised by Dr. Myriam Srour, has received the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award at the BE-STEMM 2025 Conference, organized by the Canadian Black Scientists Network (CBSN) and hosted at the University of Calgary.

Yumi’s presentation, “Minorities in STEMM: From Underrepresentation to Empowerment in Academia,” addressed strategies to equip students with practical tools to navigate and succeed in challenging academic environments. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing equity, fostering inclusion, and supporting the success of underrepresented groups in STEMM fields.
