Dear Macdonald Campus Community,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I begin my journey as the new Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and Associate Vice-President of the Macdonald Campus at Ģą˝¶ĚĘÓƵ. As I begin my term, I’m excited to connect with each of you - professors, lecturers, staff, learners, students, alumni, donors, and allies. Thank you for the trust you have placed in me.
Since its founding in 1907, Sir William Macdonald’s vision - rooted in education, research, and innovation - has shaped what has become a world-class Faculty, enriched by the diversity, excellence, and passion of our community. I feel fortunate to work, share and engage with such a talented, diverse and highly committed community whether in the office, in the classroom, in the lab or on the farm.
There is something truly revolutionary about the mission of a university, especially in its capacity to develop the potential of individuals and communities through the creation, preservation, and sharing of knowledge. That mission - to strengthen our impact in feeding the world, preserving the environment and the biodiversity, advancing sustainable climate actions, and improving human health - lies at the heart of all we do. Driven by our academic ambitions and shared values, and through the application of our interdisciplinary strengths, we are tackling global and local challenges while continuing to meet the evolving needs of our world with purpose and resilience.
Every one of you plays a vital role in shaping the future of our Faculty, and I’m grateful for your contributions in making it a vibrant, nurturing, and forward-looking community. To those new to Ģą˝¶ĚĘÓƵ AES, welcome - you’re joining a dedicated and dynamic network, and we’re thrilled to have you with us.

C’est avec beaucoup d’enthousiasme et de gratitude que j’entreprends mon mandat en tant que nouvelle doyenne de la FacultĂ© des Sciences de l’Agriculture et de l’Environnement et Vice-PrĂ©sidente AssociĂ©e du campus Macdonald Ă l’UniversitĂ© de Ģą˝¶ĚĘÓƵ. En dĂ©butant mon mandat, je suis impatiente de vous rencontrer - professeurs, chargĂ©s de cours, membres du personnel, apprenants, Ă©tudiants, diplĂ´mĂ©s, donateurs et alliĂ©s.
Depuis sa fondation en 1907, la vision de Sir William Macdonald - ancrée dans l’éducation, la recherche et l’innovation - a façonné ce qui est aujourd’hui une Faculté de renommée mondiale, enrichie par la diversité, l’excellence et la passion de sa communauté. Je me sens privilégie de pouvoir travailler, échanger et m’engager avec une communauté aussi talentueuse, diversifiée et profondément investie, que ce soit au bureau, en classe, au laboratoire ou à la ferme. Merci pour la confiance que vous m’accordez.
Il y a quelque chose de véritablement révolutionnaire dans la mission d’une université, notamment dans sa capacité à développer le potentiel des individus et des communautés par la création, la transmission et la mise en valeur des connaissances. Cette mission - renforcée par notre impact and notre contribution à la sécurité alimentaire mondiale, à la préservation de l’environnement et de la biodiversité, à la lutte durable contre les changements climatiques et à l’amélioration de la santé humaine - est au cœur de tout ce que nous accomplissons. Portés par nos ambitions académiques, nos valeurs partagées et la richesse de nos approches interdisciplinaires, nous relevons les défis à la fois mondiaux et locaux avec détermination et résilience.
Chacune et chacun d’entre vous joue un rôle essentiel dans l’avenir de notre Faculté, et je vous remercie sincèrement pour votre contribution à cette communauté dynamique, bienveillante et tournée vers l’avenir.
