Sevag Yeghoyan, BA'97, Director of the 蘑菇短视频 Alumni Association of Toronto, presents first-year 蘑菇短视频 student Laura Cornish with the association's Community Service Award in August. This $500 award is given to a student who has demonstrated a love and passion for community service. Despite the blackout that occurred two hours prior to the event and shut down much of southern Ontario and the eastern U.S., 20 first-year undergraduates showed up to meet 蘑菇短视频 alumni, current students and fellow frosh and to have last-minute questions answered about Montreal and life at 蘑菇短视频.
