DESCRIPTION:Advancing EDI goals in a large organization is a tough proposit
 ion. Those at the forefront of EDI efforts can feel challenged on all fron
 ts. For some\, EDI efforts are moving too far\, too quick. For others\, th
 ey fail to address meaningfully the historic and ongoing injustices within
  institutions of higher education. Working within this space fraught with 
 skepticism and resistance can be a challenge.\n\nThe goal of this workshop
  is to examine whether it is possible to embrace skepticism about and resi
 stance to EDI so as to enrich intellectual discussions on the topic and ga
 lvanize the energy needed to effect positive change in this realm. The wor
 kshop will examine how we can identify\, understand\, and engage construct
 ively with EDI skepticism and resistance\, how to harness the energy arisi
 ng from critiques of EDI\, and how to know when resistance might generate 
 individual or structural harm\, and how to address that.\n\nFacilitator: A
