 ФЂЙНЖЬЪгЦЕ   People often wonder why we created a graduate program 
 in Family Medicine - was it really necessary? What were we hoping to accom
 plish? What does it mean for family physicians\, residents and researchers
 ? This presentation will give an overview of our program\, the motivation 
 for its creation\, some of the challenges we have faced\, how the program 
 has become a basis for medical education research and why we believe it is
  critical to the discipline of Family Medicine. Implications for researche
 rs and clinicians will be explored as well as future directions we are con

 rofessor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Family Medicin
 e.Т She received her PhD in epidemiology from ФЂЙНЖЬЪгЦЕ in 2001 and
  her MSc in 1996. Dr. Bartlett specializes in primary care research and kn
 owledge translation.Т Her current concentration is on direct-to-patient kno
 wledge translation around health promotion\, personalized medicine and pha
