 take a critical look at corruption in politics and explore the recurring p
 henomenon of corruption in government\, the usefulness of commissions of e
 nquiry to expose unlawful conduct and mismanagement and why such commissio
 ns tend to be loved by the public and disliked\, with some justification\,
  by those whose names are mentioned during the hearings.  The lecture is f
 ree and open to everyone to attend.  Presented in partnership with Heenan
