The workshop will be hosting speakers from the fields of galleries\, libraries \, archives and museums to talk about their roles and experiences with lan d acknowledgements\, truth and reconciliation and recognition of Indigenou s collections within their institutions.\n\nThe workshops will be hosted o nline and students who attend all four events will receive a certificate o f participation.\n\nPlease click the link below and log in with your McGil l credentials for the Zoom link to participate\n\n/si s/about/equity-diversity-and-inclusion/workshops... \n\nWe hope you will j oin us for the series: \n\nevery Thursday @3PM throughout all of February! \n\nArchives: Raymond Frogner\, Royal BC Museum \n\nThursday February 4 f rom 3PM to 4PM EST.\n\nThe first workshop will feature Raymond Frogner\, a rchivist with the Royal BC Museum and was the previous director of archive s for the National Center of Truth and Reconciliation.\n\n \n\nLibraries: Elis Ing\, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Rare Books and Special Collections \n\nThursd ay February 11 from 3PM to 4PM EST.\n\nThe second workshop will feature El is Ing\, librarian with the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Rare Books and Special Colle ctions who has worked with Indigenous special collections and is currently developing library guides on these collections.\n\n \n\nMuseums: Jonathan Lainey\, McCord Museum \n\nThursday\, February 18 from 3PM to 4PM EST.\n \nThe third workshop will feature Jonathan Lainey\, Curator\, Indigenous C ultures at the McCord Museum and previously worked at the Canadian Museum of History. His areas of interest include the social\, political and cultu ral history of Indigenous Peoples in Quebec and Canada as well as material culture and its interpretation.\n\n \n\nGalleries: Gwendolyn Owens\, McGi ll University Visual Arts Collection \n\nThursday\, February 25 from 3PM t o 4PM EST.\n\nThe fourth workshop will feature Gwendolyn Owens\, Director of Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµâ€™s Visual Arts Collection\, who previously held curatorial positi ons at Cornell University and the Canadian Centre for Architecture\, among others.
