Biography: 

Dr. Kevin Waschke is a gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist working in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He specializes in advanced endoscopy, including EUS, ERCP and complex polypectomy. Kevin is internationally recognized for his work in endoscopy training, having developed multiple highly successful programs, including the CAG Skills Enhancement in Endoscopy (SEE) Program and the ASGE STAR Program. He has been very active in leadership roles, having served as Chair of multiple committees and other roles over the past two decades. Notably, he served as the President of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) from 2020-2022 and is a current Board Member for the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation (CDHF). He was recognized for his exemplary service to CAG with CAG's highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award in 2024. Kevin has always had a keen interest in whole person development and began his term as Associate Chair of Wellness for the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Department of Medicine in July 2025, a role he was eager to take on.
