The Schulich Library 3D Printing Service is offered as a mediated service for Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ students, staff, and faculty. Registered users may submit print jobs, which the Library’s 3D Printing Assistants will evaluate and execute.

To use the 3D Printing Service

Step 0: Before submitting your first print job, you must read the regulations and register for the service. Already registered? Start at Step 1!

Step 1: Prepare your print job. Your job should be an .stl file under 15 hours.

  • If you need information about how to prepare your job, email 3dprint.schulich [at] mcgill.ca (3dprint[dot]schulich[at]mcgill[dot]ca).
  • For requests exceeding 15 hours at a time or 20 hours in a week, email francesca.frati [at] mcgill.ca (francesca[dot]frati[at]mcgill[dot]ca).

Step 2: Submit your request using the .

Step 3: Monitor your email for updates from our 3D Printing Assistants.

Step 4: Once you receive confirmation that your job is complete, pick up your print at the Schulich Library Service Desk during service hours.

Printing is currently available in PLA and PVA. PLA is available in a variety of colours, but we cannot guarantee that a preferred colour will be available.
